Kayla Walt is the newest addition to the Claire Kourie Physiotherapists Inc. team.
Kayla graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2024 and completed her community service at South Rand Hospital in 2025, where she gained valuable hands-on experience treating a wide range of patients, including neuromusculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological, paediatric, and pulmonary conditions.
She has further enhanced her skills through additional training, including dry needling levels 1 & 2; Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) level A (an internationally recognised course); the Malamulele Course, specialising in the management of cerebral palsy patients; as well as a postgraduate diploma in paediatric respiratory physiotherapy.
Kayla’s clinical interests are broad and dynamic. She has a strong passion for hospital work, including medical and surgical cases, ICU patients, and paediatrics, and is eager to continue expanding her knowledge in paediatric development and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Kayla loves to treat with a patient-centred approach. She is deeply passionate about working alongside both patients and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes, and she is committed to providing holistic, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
