Amy Baldwin

Amy Baldwin is a qualified physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2016.

She completed her community service year at Far East Rand Hospital in 2017. She gained experience in all fields of physiotherapy with a focus on patients with neck and back pain, orthopaedic conditions, pediatrics, and neonatal ICU. Her main achievement that year was establishing a pain management exercise class for patients with chronic back pain.

In 2018, Amy started working in private practice. Here she gained further experience in sports injuries while working with runners, cyclists, and triathletes. In 2021, she started working at Claire Kourie Physiotherapists Inc. where she gained more experience in the hospital setting treating patients specifically with Covid. She furthered her hospital skills with treating pediatrics, neurological rehabilitation patients and orthopaedics conditions. Amy is currently the practice manager at Claire Kourie Physiotherapists, Inc.

Amy’s special interests are in: chronic pain; neck and back pain; musculoskeletal injuries; dizziness or vestibular rehabilitation; women’s health; general rehabilitation; and hydrotherapy.

She is passionate about leading a healthy and active lifestyle. Being a Senior Protea Gymnast, who competed in various international competitions, she knows the importance of being active as well as being competitive in sport. She no longer competes in gymnastics but still enjoys cycling, swimming, hiking, and CrossFit.
